Apple iPod Gamma to Shut Up and Let Me Go

Apple has released the latest TV ad in the iTunes/iPod silhouette campaign, “Gamma”, featuring “Shut Up and Let Me Go”, sung by The Ting Tings. The commercial, directed by Mark Romanek, features the classic silhouetted iPod dancers in color.

British indie/pop band The Ting Tings consists of Jules De Martino (drums, vocals) and Katie White (vocals, guitar, bass drum). They are set to release their debut album, “We Started Nothing” in May 2008, preceded by a re-release of That’s Not My Name the week before. The album will feature previous singles Great DJ and Fruit Machine.

The Gamma ad was developed at TBWA\Media Arts Lab, Los Angeles, by chief creative officer Lee Clow, executive creative directors Duncan Milner and Eric Grunbaum, creative director Scott Trattner, art director Demian Oliveira and Jamie Reilly, agency producer Serena Auroux and assistant producer Chrissy Gilmartin.

Filming was shot by Mark Romanek via Anonymous Content with director of photography John Barr.

Visual Effects were developed by Mork & Lys via Logan. Lead compositor was Brandon Sanders. Editor was Glenn Martin at Nomad Editing Company. Post production at Company 3 was done by Stefan Sonnenfeld and Brian Robinson.
