Alzheimer’s Gallery

The “Alzheimer’s Gallery” campaign, an awareness-focused effort produced on behalf of the Alzheimer’s Association, California Southland chapter, has been awarded with a Gold Clio Health award, following on from a Bronze CLIO for design. The idea behind the campaign was to dramatize a visual symbol of the tragic impact of Alzheimer’s by placing the viewer in the shoes of someone suffering from the disease. The images in the campaign, large-scale portraits titled “Daughter,” “Husband,” “Grandson,” are distorted, hazy, garbled and heartbreaking tributes to the loved ones of those with Alzheimer’s.

Budweiser Friends Are Waiting

Budweiser is running “Friends Are Waiting”, an online video featuring a young man and his golden labrador, designed to encourage drunk-driving prevention. The commercial opens with the deep bond between two best friends, Luke and his dog Cooper, as they share the highs and lows of life together. How does Cooper cope when Luke heads off for a night out with the boys? The message? “For some the wait never ended. But we can change that. Make a plan to make it home. Your friends are counting on you.”

Happiness on Glue

Happiness on Glue is a growing set of wall stickers produced by Dia Ghyczy and Judit Kun, two young veterans of the ad world based in Budapest, Hungary. Dia and Judit like to think about the needs their products would answer, then put it in a fun context. For example, you might look for a doctor’s office wall sticker for your kid’s room, so they can play in front of it. But what you get is also a promise that your child might become a successful doctor who’s able to support your gambling problem when you retire. With other stickers they would like to help parents get their kids tired enough so they can watch Grey’s Anatomy in peace. Or help kids cope who found out the truth about Santa, or Facebook’s privacy settings.
