NZ Police Recruitment on the run

The New Zealand Police has launched a fast paced recruitment video as part of the New Cops campaign to attract hundreds of new recruits. They’re looking for a diverse range who can form a team that represents and understands all communities of New Zealand. The NZ Police recruitment film features over 70 actual cops. The Police band, Police dogs & cats, Eagle helicopter, the Armed Offenders Squad, William Waiirua, Black Ferns and the Police Commissioner Mike Bush, all put their hands (or paws) up to be involved in the video to encourage New Zealanders to join NZ Police. The three minute video was released on the New Zealand Police Facebook page, YouTube site and Recruitment site, newcops.co.nz, with different durations rolling out in coming weeks over other media.

Der Tagesspiegel Trump Newspaper Stack

Der Tagesspiegel, a German newspaper, and Scholz & Friends have won two Grand Prix awards for their print ad: “Newspaper Stack – Trump”, at the London International Awards (Poster) and the Epica Awards (Press). Launched in the lead up to the US Presidential elections in November 2016, the print ad shows a stack of newspapers featuring the face of Republican nominee Donald Trump, his mouth replicated to produce the impression of a shout. The caption: “Will he bully his way into the White House?”. The Newspaper Stack campaign included two other print ads, covering the migrant crisis (The Migrant Crisis: How much do we really have to cope with?) and the 2016 European Football Championship (Our National Team: Are they really invincible?)

Apple Sway romance in Prague

Apple’s engagement in the festive season has begun with “Sway”, a commercial set in the snow-laden streets of Prague. The Apple Sway commercial shows a man and a woman bumping into each other in the street, launching into a fantastic dance inspired by Sam Smith’s track, “Palace” on a shared pair of wireless AirPods, powered by an iPone X. “Move someone this holiday”. The magic is turned on with a switch from the busy daylight scenes of Prague to deserted streets filled with flurries of snow and Christmas lights. The two dancers are real-life married couple Lauren Yalango-Grant and Christopher Grant from New York City. The title “Sway”, could be linked with the Dean Martin 1954 hit of the same name. “Other dancers may be on the floor, dear, but my eyes will see only you. Only you have the magic technique. When we sway I go weak.”

Danielle lands for Spanish Christmas Lottery

SELAE (Sociedad Estatal Loterías y Apuestas del Estado) is promoting the 2017 Christmas Lottery with “Danielle”, an advertising campaign following on from the viral success of Justino in 2015 and Carmina in 2016. “Danielle” tells the story of an interstellar visitor who unexpectedly lands on Earth and meets Daniel, a tour guide from Madrid. The film follows their shared story of hope, love and a lottery number, which forever binds them. “Danielle” demonstrates that the best part about the Spanish Christmas lottery is sharing it with the ones you love.

Salvator Mundi Viewers awestruck

Christies, the British auction house, have made sure that members of the public have had a chance to view the Leonardo da Vinci masterpiece, “Salvator Mundi”, before it heads back into private hands for $450 million. More than 20,000 people from all walks of life have come to gaze at Leonardo da Vinci’s Salvator Mundi. After centuries in the hands of royal and private owners, its return to the public consciousness has resulted in queues wrapping around Christie’s exhibition spaces in London, Hong Kong, San Francisco, and New York. The experience of setting eyes on a work described as the ‘Divine Mona Lisa’ — one of fewer than 20 paintings acknowledged as being from the Renaissance master’s hand — is one that has moved people in many different ways, with those experiences being shared myriad times via social media. But what if the tables were turned and the Salvator Mundi (Saviour of the World) could share with us what he has seen these last few weeks? Having witnessed the most intimate details in the lives of successive French and English kings, what would the figure of Christ, depicted holding the well-being of the world in the palm of his left hand, now make of us?
