Cold Mailman – My Recurring Dream

Norwegian studio pop band Cold Mailman has released a music video for their single, “My Recurring Dream”, taken from their third album, Heavy Hearts. Directed by André Chocron, the music video takes us through hospital and school corridors, a stairwell, through swimming pools, a moving train, home and a set of burning abandoned cars, using a series of tracking shots enhanced with time lapse and reverse motion.

Canal+ promoted Canal Digital Go in Norway with “The Man who lived in a film”, a television commercial showing how the channel brings the movies to subscribers. A man talks to his therapist about the disturbing effects of having his life intersect with the films he’s been watching at home. The ad won silver at The One Show 2012,

Kiss A Love Story

“Kiss: A Love Story”, an animated short film, has won Gold in the Open Class for Moving Image at Visuelt 2012, a design competition in Norway organised by Grafill. “Le soleil est le passé, le terre est le présent et la lune est le futur.” As Paul Auster once said “The sun is the past, the earth is the present and the moon is the future.” Kiss presents a solar eclipse as a love story in which the moon successfuly attempts to reach and embrace the sun.

Tuba Atlantic

Tuba Atlantic, a short film by Norwegian director Hallvar Witzø, has been nominated for Best Film (Live Action) at the 2012 Academy Awards. The 25 minute film tells the story of 70-year-old Oskar (Edvard Hægstad), who learns that his doctor (Terje Ranes) expects him to die in six days. As he comes to terms with his fate with the help of a teenager Inger (Ingrid Viken), he searches for a way to get in touch with his brother, whom he hasn’t spoken to in 30 years, with an unusually large musical instrument.

Bjorg Jewellery Heresy

Bjørg Jewellery in Norway has released “Heresy”, a short film portraying a disturbing scene of a woman being burned at the stake. Death by burning was practiced in Norway was practiced in the 16th and 17th centuries, focused largely on women suspected of witchcraft. The Heresy film is the third in a series of annual short films directed by Norwegian filmmakers Matias and Mathias. The film is associated with “Not all who wander are lost”, a print advertising campaign promoting Bjorg’s latest collection.
