Argos is a group of companies based in Chile, engaged in the business of manufacturing, marketing and distributing a wide range of products related to holidays, occasions and gifts. One of their original product lines, launched in 1975, was a range of latex balloons. Here’s a recent print advertising campaign in which extra large balloons transform the insides of homes.

JWT Santiago have come out with fresh print advertising for Scrabble: Warrior and Camera, a follow up to an earlier campaign (Elephant, Guitar and Submarine). The Warrior ad provides extra drama with the appearance of a warrior having been dissected and dismembered by a sword similar to the one he is holding.

Columbia Sportswear Company has sponsored a warning to Santiago residents with an outdoor advertisement challenging the use of air conditioners. A banner held against an apartment block wall shows a man and his child struggling to cope in a flood. Air conditioning units project through the art work. “El aire que enfria tu hogar. Calienta el mundo” is translated in English as “The air cooling your home is heating the world.”

Nivea Sun, a skin bronzing lotion, is being promoted in South America with a print advertising campaign featuring the “loción autobronceante” in dark places. Beach towels are placed in a church, a train station and a library to present the concept of sun bathing in places the sun normally doesn’t shine. “The Sun goes wherever you go.”
