Rugby World Cup Beat The Traffic

England Rugby 2015 is using “Beat The Crowds”, a multimedia campaign encouraging people that live or work in and around the Rugby World Cup host cities and the affected areas to be aware of changes and high demand periods, plan ahead or seek alternative routes and allow more time to complete their journeys. Outdoor and digital advertising, regional radio adverts and a dedicated travel information website, were rolled out across the eleven host cities leading up to and during the tournament. The campaign creative has ten variations, one each for the key modes of transport that will be used during the tournament: Train, Car, Bicycle, Motorcycle, Tram, Bus, Truck, Tube, Plane and Taxi. Each version features a set of rugby posts incorporated into the mode of transport with the tagline ‘Beat the Rugby traffic” or “Beat the Rugby crowds.’
