KFC Chicken Corsage Ready for Prom Night
KFC in the United States is running “Chicken Corsage”, a #HowDoYouKFC campaign linked with the current high school prom season. The commercial at the heart of the campaign features a young man who exchanges his dance partner’s gift of a boutonniere with a KFC drumstick attached to a baby breath wrist corsage. KFC encourages fans to visit the Chicken Corsage site, kfc.com/corsage, where they can make their special order through Nanz and Kraft Florists for $20. Gift givers are able to take their corsage and voucher along to KFC for their choice of Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Kentucky Grilled Chicken, to surprise their date with a chicken corsage that will “make her eyes light up and her mouth water”.
KFC moved the campaign along with a Twitter campaign, in which followers were delivered a KFC corsage along with a #promposal.
From the KFC site:
“NOTE: Chicken not included (duh.). Each corsage kit includes a $5 KFC gift check, so you can customize your corsage with Original Recipe, Extra Crispy or Kentucky Grilled Chicken. Whichever best matches her dress. Local corsages will have fresh baby’s breath and out-of-town corsages will have silk baby’s breath.”
The Chicken Corsage project is part of the #HowDoYouKFC campaign developed at FCB Chicago by chief creative officer Todd Tilford, EVP/group creative directors Chuck Rudnick and Mark Taylor, VP creative director Todd Durston, associate creative director Gabriel Schmitt and Gustavo Dorietto, senior creative Bruno Guimaraes, SVP/director of content Brian Cooper.
