Alzheimer Zeitgeist 2014

Every end of every year Google looks back at the past 12 months with their Zeitgeist: Year In Review video. This year Alzheimer Nederland, the Dutch Alzheimer’s Foundation, created their own confusing version of Zeitgeist 2014 that shows the effects of Alzheimer’s disease. The first memory, the 2011 wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton, indicates that something is not quite right. Footage from the last twelve months continues to be intertwined with earlier material such as Hurricane Katrina (2005), the Space Shuttle Challenger disaster (1986), the deaths of Amy Winehouse (2011), Steve Jobs (2011) and Heath Ledger (2008), sporting triumphs by Lance Armstrong and Oscar Pistorius, the awarding of the Nobel Prize to Al Gore (2007).

The Alzheimer Zeitgeist 2014 campaign was developed at N=5, Amsterdam, by creative director Lukas van de Ven, art director Ed van Bennekom, copywriter Jasper Diks, strategist Vincent Seeber, account team Maurice Gilissen and Nicole Florencio, interactive producers Michiel de Vos and Jasper Baartmans, and editor Dai-we Li.
