Samsung HDTV sponsorship of the NFL and Super Bowl XLVII was marked with “The Big Pitch”, a commercial starring Paul Rudd , Seth Rogen and Bob Odenkirk. The campaign began with “El Plato Supreme”, a 60 second teaser ad released on Samsung’s social channels, in which Rogen and Rudd poke fun at rules that prohibit advertisers from using the words “Super Bowl”, “49ers” or “Ravens”. “The Big Pitch”, a two minute commercial run during the big game, in which the two rivals talk through the cliches being used by other advertisers as they vie for a place in “The Next Big Thing”.

The Big Pitch campaign was developed at 72andSunny by lead writer Patrick Maravilla, lead designer Brandt Lewis, senior film producer Nicole Haase, director of film production Sam Baerwald, director of business affairs Christine Claussen, business affairs manager Christina Rust, business affairs coordinator Michael Moronez, group brand director James Townsend, brand manager Jomo Hendrickson, brand coordinator Nadia Economides.
Filming was shot by director Jon Favreau via Pacific Rim Films with executive producer Annie Johnson, producer Bryan Mitchell, production designer Jan Roelfs, line producer Denny Kennedy, 1st AD John Wildermuth.
Editors were Geoff Hounsell and Will Hasell at Arcade Edit with assistant editors Trevor Schulte and Luc Giddens.
