KMart is promoting back to school deals with “Ride My Limo”, an online music video featuring Da Rich Kidzz, a group of kid rappers from Minneapolis ranging in age from 10 to 13 years old. The group, known for their 2012 hit, “Hot Cheetos & Takis”, has landed their first paid job, promoting must-have clothes and other school supplies for kids returning to the classroom. “My school bus is my limo. I rule back to school with my cap on and my brim low. Ride with me…”
Ride My Limo follows on from the success of the viral hits “Ship My Pants” and “Big Gas Savings and the more recent commercial, “Yo Mama” (below). KMart will launch 30 second television commercials using the Ride My Limo footage in the coming months.
The Ride My Limo campaign was developed at DraftFCB Chicago. Music producer and songwriter Alonzo Jackson, founder of Heeba Jeeba Productions, is managing and producing Da Rich Kidzz.
Da Rich Kidzz are: Freeman Hickman “Frizzy Free,” Glenn Carter “G-6,” Jasionia White “Lady J,” Antwon Lymas Jr. “Ben10,” Glentrel Carter “FlyGuy Carter,” Nasir Smith “Kid Nas” and producer Tony Everett “Chips.”
