Fragile Childhood (Lasinen Lapsuus), an organisation in Finland focused on addressing alcohol abuse by parents, has been running “Monsters”, an advertising campaign turning the Halloween theme on its head. A television commercial shows children whose parents have turned into monsters, zombies and criminals under the influence of alcohol. Adult survivors of alcoholic families are encouraged to reflect anonymously on Facebook, facebook.com/lasinenlapsuus, and Twitter (#fragilechildhood).
The Monsters campaign was developed at Havas Worldwide Helsinki, by creative directors Marko Vuorensola, copywriter Annu Terho, art director Marko Vuorensola, agency producers Muusa Salminen and Nina Myllyharju.
