ESPN Sports advertising campaign, “Team Spirit”, has been winning awards across the world since its launch in 2012. An 8-minute documentary and set of commercials, shot by director Errol Morris, present a level of sports fan dedication that persists to the grave, literally. “People say when you’re a fan, you’re a fan for life. But that may be a little shortsighted. It’s Not Crazy, It’s Sports.”

Editor was Grant Surmi at Rock Paper Scissors with assistant editor Victoria Lesiw, executive producer Eve Kornblum, producer Melanie Gagliano, and retoucher Eddie Reina. Animation was produced at Elastic by art director/designer Jeremy Landman, animator Alan Chen and producer Jamie McBriety. Retouching was done at 150 Proof by Chris McLelland and Jesse Corinella. Colorist was Tom Poole at Company 3.

Sound was mixed at Sonic Union by Steve Rosen. Music for the commercial was composed at Kusiak Music by John Kusiak & P. Andrew Willis. Additional music for the short film was composed by Adam Crystal.
