Here’s a post in honour of World Anti-Slavery Day. Anesvad, a global non government organisation based in Bilbao, Spain, is running “Don’t let anyone make up their smile”, an animated commercial raising awareness of human trafficking. A young girl living in Southern Asia faces a world in which unscrupulous adults trap children into slavery. 27 million people across the world are forced to work without pay, under threat of violence, and they’re unable to walk away. It is estimated that over 25% of global trafficking affects girls, children and adolescents. The smile campaign is designed to raise donations for projects in Cambodia, connecting with the website www.anesvad.org.
The Smile campaign was developed at Hopper-ink, Bilbao, Spain, by creative director, art director and illustrator Aitor Aretxabaleta, copywriter Jose Javier Gamboa, composer and sound engineer Rafa de el Campo.
