American shopping chain Best Buy prepared shoppers for the deals of Christmas with a series of television commercials featuring Will Arnett (Twas), Jason Schwartzman (Family Gaming), Maya Rudolph (Judy), and LL Cool J (Holy Grail). The four comedic actors sit in their chair reading their version of The Night Before Christmas. Launched at the end of October, the “Twas The Night Before Christmas” stories present Best Buy as the place to resolve shoppers’ Christmas Eve dilemmas.
Four behind-the-scenes videos with humorous outtakes have been released on the Best Buy YouTube channel (and now made private).
The Twas campaign was developed at CP+B, Boulder, by worldwide chief creative officer Rob Reilly, executive creative director Bob Winter, creative directors Dave Cook, Tim Wettstein, Dylan Berg, associate creative directors Russell Dodson, Tony Kalathara, art directors Jamin Duncan, Eliana Perez de Gracia, copywriters Graham McCann and Elena Romeu, integrated head of video Chad Hoppenwasser, senior integrated producer Ramon Nunez, integrated producer Romeo Joven, junior integrated producer Addison Born.
