Conference sessions at ad:tech Tokyo, in 2012, were opened with “Magnetic World”, a set of short films created with iron sand. The global interactive advertising and technology conference and exhibition had sessions with themes such as Synchronization and Repulsion. The iron sand images in the Magnetic World series visualised the synergy created by the sessions, and the people attracted to a living space filled with an invisible force of life and energy. The project won a Gold Design Lion at Cannes International Festival of Creativity 2013.
The Magnetic Force project was developed at Hakuhodo Tokyo by creative director Masaru Kitakaze, art director Go Hosokawa, photographer Yusuke Oka, designers Yoshihiro Kono and Yumiko Sekine, and producer Tomohiro Tashiro. Media was handled at Six, Tokyo.
