Danish wind-turbine manufacturer Vestas and Droga5 New York have won the Green Pencil at the 2012 One Show Awards for “WindMade,” a global renewable-energy label. The label appears on the packaging of products that source at least 25% of their manufacturing power from wind. The goal of this label is to provide credible and transparent information quantifying the consumption of electricity generated from wind energy and other renewable sources. Companies supporting the Windmade label include Lego, Bloomberg, Motorola, Method and Deutsche Bank. The brand has its own website, windmade.org, Twitter channel, @WindMade_NGO, and Facebook page, facebook.com/WindMade.
