Umino Seaweed Design Nori

I&S BBDO, Tokyo has had its design work for Umino Seaweed recognised with the Best of Show Design Lotus at Adfest in Pattaya, Thailand, this week. The design for the North Easbrings together traditional Japanese design and latest cutting technology, with classic patterns (MonYo) from Japanese history carved into the seaweed with a modern laster cutter. The designs convey happiness, long life, respect for the past and hopes for the future. The design project was developed to help the North East Japan company rebuild in the wake of the March 2011 tsunami. The five designs: Sakura (Cherry Blossoms), Mizutama (Water Drops), Asanoha (Hemp), Kikkou (Turtle Seashell), Kumikkou (Tortoise Shell).
