The Drum and the Chip Shop Awards are looking to help out LOCOG, by ruling on what will and will not be allowed in terms of advertising during the Olympics. If you’ve been watching The Drum’s daily updates in the Fauxlympics with baited breath, now is the time to take action! Voting is now open on The Drum’s Facebook page until the end of the day on Thursday, with the three in each categories with the most ‘likes’ at the end of that period winning gold (Burger King), silver (Pepsi) and bronze (Galaxy). Here’s a few of the best…
The four categories are:
The Sprint: Guerrilla ads that would be taken down faster than Usain Bolt can run 100 metres. Vote Here
The Long Shot: Ads which probably should be allowed to run, but probably won’t. Vote Here
The Hurdles: Ads which manage to get around the advertising rules Vote Here
The High Jump: Funny ads which break all the rules. Vote Here
There will also be the top prize of the Golden Chip, since the Fauxlympics are in association with the Chip Shop Awards. All winners will be announced on Friday on The Drum, so stay tuned to find out if your favourite came first.
