Brilliant After Breakfast, a new advertising agency in Amsterdam, has launched “Paint Job”, a smart phone app designed to hijack the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam with a virtual exhibition. Users of the app are able to scan art works with the Layar Reality Browser, accessing new insights on the paintings. The agency team’s publicity stunt, as well as being self-promotional, sets out to bridge the gap between ancient works of art and modern day society, exploring issues of copyright, remixing and creativity.
