Nike is celebrating how far women’s sports have come in “Voices”, a television commercial featuring elite athletes who have defied convention to reach their goals, connected with young women starting out in the fields of running, boxing, basketball, baseball, soccer, swimming. American professional women’s basketball player Lisa Leslie, fly-weight boxer Marlen Esparza, American marathon runner Joan Benoit Samuelson, and professional basketball player Diana Taurasi just wanted to play sports.

The Voices commercial was developed at Wieden+Kennedy, Portland, by creative directors Alberto Ponte, Ryan O’Rourke and Dan Hon, copywriter Dylan Lee, art director Ayse Altinok, producer Erin Goodsell, executive creative director Mark Fitzloff, executive creative director Susan Hoffman, executive agency producer Ben Grylewicz.
Filming was shot by director Mark Romanek via Anonymous Content with executive producer Eric Stern, line producer Suzie Greene Tedesco, director of photography Jeff Cutter, production manager Marisol Aragon-Herold.
