NHS Stoptober launched in UK 2012
NHS has launched Stoptober, an integrated advertising campaign in the UK encouraging people to stop smoking for 28 days through the month of October. The campaign is on Twitter, @Stoptober, and is featured on the NHS SmokeFree Facebook page, microsite and Youtube channel. The Department of Health campaign, backed by Cancer Research UK and the British Heart Foundation, will involve television and radio adverts, a daily messaging service, smartphone apps and roadshows around the country. The commercial at the heart of the campaign features a giant red stop button being rolled through rural and urban landscapes, being signed by pedestrians.
