Mastercard‘s “Check In”, a television commercial promoting a competition associated with the All Blacks, has been voted New Zealand’s favourite commercial of the year in the Fair Go Best Ad Award. The commercial shows an over-the-top prize winner checking into the same hotel as All Blacks Richie McCaw, Ma’an Nonu and Dan Carter. The contest, launched on mastercard.co.nz/allblacks in July 2012, has led to Sophie Siope winning a place on the Air New Zealand European Tour following the All Blacks. The campaign included outdoor and radio ads.
