Land Rover continued the Safe Inside campaign, launched in 2010 with Sword and Cat Sitter commercials, with “Pathological Liar” and “Dirty Cops” in April 2011. If you’re going to break bad news the Land Rover LR4 is a place where you’ll feel safe. The Pathological Liar ad has just won a Gold Cube for Advertising (broadcast craft and copywriting) at the 91st Art Directors Club Awards.
Land Rover drivers experience a feeling of safety that drivers of other vehicles don’t. That’s why this pathological liar chooses to be in a Land Rover LR4 while confessing to his girlfriend that he’s not exactly who she thinks he is. The Feel Safe campaign was developed at Y&R New York by global executive creative director Kerry Keenan, creative directors Guillermo Vega, Graham Lang and Steve Whittier, copywriter Julia Neumann, art director Michael Schachtner, senior agency producer Mara Milicevic, assistant producer Jona Goodman, executive directors of content production Lora Schulson and Nathy Aviram.
Filming was shot by director David Shane via O Positive, New York, with executive producer Ralph Laucella, director of photography Antonio Calvache, line producer Ken Licata and head of production Devon Clark.
Editor/colorist was Jason Macdonald at No6 with executive producer Tony Lipari with post assistant Steve Picano, Flame artist Ed Skupeen, Flame assistant Mike Grosshandler.
