Jim Beam Parallels

Jim Beam‘s “Parallels” commercial, launched in 2011, is picking up awards for cinematography. The black and white film follows Willem Dafoe in vignettes reflecting on choices and their consequences, finishing with the brand’s bold choice in 1976 to leave Wisconsin for an acting career in New York. The commercial won a Yellow Pencil at the D&AD Awards and a Gold at the Awards International ANDY Awards, both for cinematography.

The Parallels ad was developed at StrawberryFrog, New York, by executive creative director Kevin McKeon, creative director Jason Koxvald, copywriters Josh Greenspan and Todd Beeby, producer Sherri Levy.
