Heineken The Switch

Heineken has launched “The Switch”, a new television commercial following on from the success of “The Entrance” and “The Date“. The Legend and two friends turn up at tired bar for a drink. As the bartender pours the beer he uses a lever behind the bar to set off a series of spinning gears, transforming the dive into a high class establishment.

Just google images under Clive Russell…

  2. Barry says:

I was wondering the same, he has a good look of comedian Russ Abott who has history of these types of advert but I’m not absolutely sure.

I wanted know as well. He kinda reminds me a little of Ian McKellan.

I’ve been trying to see if it’s Clive Russell-- UK actor. Very hard to be sure.

    • Lisa says:

Tracy I think it just may be Clive Russell. There is a photo of him on photo images website and there is a pic of him…and it sure looks like the bartender.

  5. Brian says:

Yeh, I’ve been scouring the web. He’s great even if the band takes all the glory. This site lists all the creatives, producers, behind the scene folks, and there’s plenty on the band, but the guy who kicks it off .. he’s worthy of a mention. TBWA dropped the ball.

    • Lisa says:

I totally agree with you Brian. WTF? This commercial wouldn’t even be the same without the bartender! He NAILED it! Ha…the look on his face when he whips off his shirt to expose his white tux! His expressions, mannerisms…come on give us some info on these actors here! The bartender and 3 guys. ????
