Geico Gecko Behind the Scenes
American insurance company Geico has launched a new series of television commercials starring the Geico gecko, beginning with “Behind the Scenes”, in which the Gecko provides viewers a sneak peek at what goes on backstage. Since 1999, there have been more than ten GEICO campaigns featuring the Gecko in over 65 TV commercials and hundreds of radio spots.

The Behind the Scenes commercial was developed at The Martin Agency by chief creative officer Joe Alexander, group creative director/art director Steve Bassett, senior copywriter Bob Meagher, senior art director Pat Wittich, executive producer Molly Souter, broadcast producer Alex Scheer-Payne, junior broadcast producer Emily Taylor, strategist Melissa Cabral, account team Chris Mumford, Liz Toms, Carter Crenshaw and Jason Ray.
Filming was shot by director Roman Coppola via The Directors Bureau with director of photography Shawn Kim, line producer Mary Livingston, executive producer Lisa Margulis, head of production Elizabeth Minzes.
Editing was done at Cosmo Street by editor Tiffany Burchard, executive producer Maura Woodward, producer Heather Richardson and assistant editor Casey Swoyer.
