Followfish Against The Tide

Fish & More in Germany is promoting the sustainable nature of their Followfish brand with “Against The Tide”, an award winning television commercial. The animated film shows that the problems of overfished oceans can still be reversed by sustainable fishing methods, as used by followfish. By choosing sustainable fish, we all can “swim against the tide” of industrial fishing and initiate the change. A second video, Guter Fang (Good Catch) follows the FollowFish commitment to sustainable tuna fishing. The Against The Tide ad won Gold in Design at the Art Directors Club Europe 2012 Awards.

The Against The Tide ad was developed at Leagas Delaney Hamburg by art directors Nadine Hoenow, Felix Boeck and Robert Westphal, copywriter Heiko Franzgrote, creative directors Florian Schimmer and Michael Goetz, adviser Heinke Kraack, producers Claudia Remming and Patrick Plogstedt.

Leagas Delaney was also instrumental in the creative development of the followfish brand, the design of the product line and the invention of the online tracking system.

Illustration by illustrator Veronika Kieneke was animated by Nico Uthe, with post production provided at Absolute Post London.

Sound was designed at Hastings Audio Network, Hamburg. Music was produced at Supreme Music.
