DIRECTV Latin America is running DIRECTV Olimpiadas, an advertising campaign showcasing how DIRECTV lets viewers experience being at the Olympics from the comfort of their own couch. CGI technology is used to transport consumers into two commercials, turning them into Olympic athletes on the track and in the swimming pool. Whether it’s the 100-meter sprint or synchronized swimming, the DIRECTV experience transports consumers straight to the games. The televised spots are being aired in Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Uruguay, Venezuela, Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.
