The Caxton Awards for Excellence in Newspaper Advertising have been announced, at a ceremony held on Hamilton Island, Australia. The top honour, officially named the Quinlivan Black Award, was taken by agency George Patterson Y&R for the mobile campaign it created for the Australian Defence Force entitled “Tri Service – Mobile Medic”. Altogether 24 Caxtons were awarded across 21 categories, with George Patterson Y&R and the DDB network sharing top position with five awards each.
