The Cape Times in South Africa ran a print advertising campaign in 2010 featuring Neil Armstrong’s first steps on the moon on July 20, 1969, the “tank man” who stopped a procession of tanks near Tiannenmen Square in Beijing on June 5, 1989, Nelson Mandela congratulating Springbok captain Francois Pienaar at the Rugby World Cup in 1995, and Muntadhar al-Zaidi throwing a shoe at George Bush during a press conference in Baghdad, December 14, 2008. Each print ad represented a fresh angle in news coverage. “In-depth news investigated from every angle. Know all about it.”
The Every Angle campaign was developed at Lowe Bull, Cape Town, by creative directors Kirk Gainsford, Alistair Morgan, art director Cameron Watson, copywriter Simon Lotze, photographers Michael & Nick (Michael Lewis and Nick van Renen).
