The Alzheimer Society of British Columbia is running “Brain Scan”, a television commercial for Brain Awareness Week, March 12 – 18. The ad urges audiences to protect memories and support research to find the causes and cure for Alzheimer’s disease and other dementias. The name D F Chalcraft that appears in the top right corner of the brain scan in the PSA is Rethink employee Glen Chalcraft’s father, who is living with dementia.

The Brain Scan ad was developed at Rethink Canada by creative directors Ian Grais and Chris Staples, art director Leia Rogers, copywriter Bob Simpson, broadcast producers aura Rioux, Daniella Sorrentino, and account manager Glen Chalcraft.
Post production was done at Rooster Post by editor Christina Humphries, assistant editor Deborah Gurofsky and executive producer Melissa Kahn.
Animation was produced at Hatch Studios by design director Larissa Ulisko, executive producer Randi Yaffa and producer Holly Nichols.
Original music is by Robert Smart. Sound was produced at Wave Productions by producer Colin Weinmaster and sound engineer Craig Warrian.
