BMW Beach Mural

BMW is building anticipation for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games with “Beach Mural”, a television commercial set on a quiet beach in Wales. Precision driver Wolfgang Weber puts the BMW M5′s twin turbo engines to the test as he drifts around Pendine Sands, ending up with a design expressing BMW’s support for the BMW London 2012 Performance Team athletes. BMW’s sponsorship of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games is explored online at bmw.co.uk/london2012.

This advertisement demonstrates an impressive use of creativity. I find it very inspirational, memorable and aesthetic. Utilizing the upcoming Olympic games is a brilliant way to attract potential customers, as well as reach a large audience. I believe this advertisement is successful because it communicates multiple positive messages about the BMW products and company. Furthermore, it demonstrates a wonderful use of co-branding and sponsorship. I enjoy the classy representation of both BMW and the Olympic games.
