Bernas (Padiberas Nasional Berhad) is running “The Journey”, a television commercial connecting Hari Raya (the feast at the end of Ramadan) with expressions of unconditional love and compassion. The Journey, part of the Malaysian rice regulation and distribution company “Bowls4Humanity” program, features two orphans, Ahmad and Fizi, one deaf and one blind. The two boys embark on a journey on the eve of Hari Raya. Faced with many challenges, their determination and perseverance allow them to fulfill their obligation of unconditional love.

The Bowls4Humanity campaign commits Bernas continues to donating 25 grams of every 10kg pack of Bernas rice purchased to orphanages around Malaysia. Since the campaign started in July 2011, Bernas has donated approximately 900,000kg of rice worth RM2.25 million to orphanages nationwide.
The Journey ad was developed at Affinity Worldwide, Kuala Lumpur.
The boys are played by deaf 12 year old Ahmad Abdul Matin Asmadi (Ahmad) and blind eight year old Amirul Hafizi (Fizi)
