The Australian Bureau of Statistics promoted the 2011 Census with “Spotlight”, an interactive campaign designed to get the average Australian motivated to share their information. The site, spotlight.abs.gov.au, used information from the 2006 census to provide visitors a range of infographics based on their ancestry, place of birth, age and occupation. The campaign won a Gold Cyber Lotus at Adfest 2012, silver and bronze awards at the Spike Asia awards, and was recognised with a FWA site of the day.
