White Ribbon Day, marked in Australia on November 25, calls on men to swear, no matter what their background. “I swear never to commit, excuse or remain silent about violence against women.” The campaign features a commercial, along with print and online banners featuring well known Australian personalities. Included in this post are comedian Wil Anderson, real man Hazem el Masri, country boy Keith Urban, team Hamish and Andy and working class man Jimmy Barnes. Members of the public are invited to upload their own statements, “All xxx should swear” on to the White Ribbon Australia Facebook page.
