Toyota has launched the Social Snap Shot, an app designed to connect Facebook users with the Toyota Yaris “Outsmart Life” theme, online at allnewyaris.com. This smart little tool is for people with busy lives helping them stay in touch with the latest and most relevant Facebook news. After selecting friends you are most interested in, the application sends a handy animated summary of the most recent, liked and commented on Facebook content. “So many friends, so little time. Get straight to the essential status updates, invites and photos with our super smart social snap shot.”
Using HTML5 the app pulls edited highlights of friends’ Facebook activity into a dynamic infographic-style video across online, iPhone and on iPad. An arrow leads viewers through all the highlights of their friends’ updates, photos and links, alongside reminders about birthdays and events. Users can chose the update to be delivered daily, weekly or monthly.

The Social Snap Shot digital campaign supports the Outsmart Life television advertising campaign, created by Saatchi & Saatchi, which broke last month, featuring the tagline ‘The Smart Money’s on Yaris’.
The Social Snap Shot campaign was developed at Glue Isobar by art director Adam King, design director Matt Verity, copywriter Lewis Raven, designer Adam Bright, senior producer Alex Birch, producer Abs Hassan, developers Damian Mitchell, Rob Gibo and Jens Meijer, front end developers Jonathan Croughton and Gemma Leigh, innovation director Andy Kinsella, account management team Blake Cuthbert and Alex Jena, planners Katie White and Martin Buckley, working with Toyota GB marketing team Lisa Fielden and Jemma Shaw.
