“Belle de Jour”, a short film made for the Times of India “A Day in the Life of India” contest, has won a Gold Spike at the Spikes Asia Awards held in Singapore. The film, shot by Mumbai director Shujaat Saudagaron, won second place in the contest’s professional section. A woman prepares her household for the day before heading off on the bus to the call centre where she works. A nice touch with knitting needles and lecherous guy on the bus, and of course the twist at the end.
