T-Mobile is cashing in on the success of Rovio’s Angry Bird smartphone game with “Angry Birds Live”, a viral campaign featuring a re-enactment of events in Barcelona. In an elaborate live version, a smartphone was connected to an air cannon, and used to launch real Angry Birds to explode the green pigs and destroy their hideouts. Music is a remix of the Angry Birds theme played live by a twelve piece brass band.

The Angry Birds Live campaign was developed at Saatchi & Saatchi, Italy, by copywriter Luca Lorenzini, art director Luca Pannese, international creative director Jason Romeyko, planner Jason Lonsdale, account team James Griffiths and Charlotte Cook, and agency producers Kate O’Mulloy and Jennifer Kennedy.
