Red Crescent for Japan
Türk Kızılayı, the Turkish Red Crescent Society, recently ran a print advertising campaign promoting its fund raising campaign for the victims of the Japanese earthquake and tsunami. The red crescent is presented as the sun of Japan, partially obscured. The text in Turkish, “Japonya’da güneşin yeniden doğması için yardım edin”, is translated in English as “Help the sun rise again in Japan”.
The Red Crescent for Japan campaign was developed at McCann Erickson Istanbul by creative director Hakan Yegen, art director/retoucher Firat Yildiz, copywriter Yavuzhan Gel, and client services manager Isil Uygur.
