Ray Ban Clip In Kaleidoscope

The Ray Ban Flip Out sunglass series with interchangeable lenses is being promoted in an integrated advertising campaign using a kaleidoscope theme featuring film work directed by Sophie Gateau at Paranoid US. The campaign includes a promotional spot, print ad, website featurette, and an interactive event which launched the new line directly to the consumer through a kaleidoscope installation in a pop-up tunnel in New York City.

The Kaleidoscope campaign was developed at Marcel Worldwide/Publicis, New York, by creative director/art director Kele Dobrinski, art director Nessim Higson and senior producer George Roca.

Filming and VFX were produced at Paranoid US by director/lead artist Sophie Gateau, executive producers Claude Letussier and Matej Purg, line producer Matthew Rodriguez, director of photography Matt Kliegman, and head of post Guillaume Raffi.

Sophie worked off detailed animatic tests, preparing each movement beforehand with precise attention. The film was shot in the exact order it is presented. To keep the transitions tight, Sophie shot the actress on a split screen. As the actress reached a new position, a team of stylists made a quick change in her look, before the actress was then placed in the exact same position and reshot. Backed by Paranoid Design Studio and in collaboration with Marcel Worldwide’s Dobrinski and Higson, Sophie executed the post-production, creating the animation, design and defined transitions in After Effects.

Editing was done at Consulate by editor Emily Spiegelman, producer Alan Lopez, and head of production Charlyn Derrick.

Music was produced at Beacon Street Studios.
