Qantas Wallabies One Team

The Australian Rugby Union launched “One Team” in June 2011, an advertising campaign designed to connect the Australian public with the Qantas Wallabies in the lead up to the Rugby World Cup series in New Zealand. The campaign, run over three months, brought support in from politicians, media personalities and a range of sport disciplines. Featured in the 90 second commercial and three 30 second advertisements were Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, ex PM John Howard, Socceroo Mark Schwarzer, athlete Geoff Huegill, surfer Mick Fanning, swimmer Grant Hackett, diver Matthew Mitcham, General Peter Cosgrove, chef Neil Perry, Channel 9 Today Show hosts Karl Stefanovic and Lisa Wilkinson and Channel 9 personality, Natalie Gruzlewski. The campaign also included radio, press and digital elements. “This is no ordinary year. There’s no room for error. It’s time to show the world we’re all in.”
