Nike is building its presence in the 2011 Copa América being held in Argentina between July 1 and July 24, with an advertising campaign encouraging the rivalry between Brazil and Argentina. Two commercials, “Barrio Argentina” and “Bairro Brasil” star Argentina football players Carlos Tevez, Iguaín and Javier Pastore and up-and-coming Brazilian player Neymar. The commercials are linked to Nike’s Futebol Facebook page and Football Facebook page where fans can back their choice from twelve teams (barrio) with their voices.
