Museum of Science and Industry (MSI) in Chicago is running two new television commercials with HD visual content featuring all the updated interactive exhibits. The Museum’s “Science Storms,” “Smart Home,” “U-505,” “YOU! The Experience,” and many others in the new campaign are all presented entirely in CGI.

The MSI campaign was developed at Hoffman York, Chicago, by executive creative director Michael Rivera, creative directors Tony Bonilla and Eric Oken, art director Colin Quinn, senior copywriter Andy Tillman, senior producer Lisa von Drehle, account director Mike Smith, senior account executive Audrey Podor, and account coordinator Catherine Guarnieri, working with MSI VP marketing and PR Rob Gallas, director of marketing Maureen Sak and marketing manager Jackie Schubert.
Campaign production was done at Leviathan, Chicago, by creative director Bradon Webb, executive creative director Jason White, technical director Matt Daly, executive producer Chad Hutson, line producer Krissy Estrada, producer Brandy Olsen, directors of photography Stephan Mazurek, Aaron Edwards, editor Maeve Price, lead compositor Tim Sepulveda, compositor/2D artist Chris Beers, storyboard artists Gareth Fewel, Derek Weglarz, David Brodeur, Chris Saunders, Aaron Edwards, 3D artists Bradon Webb, Sam Gierasimczuk, Jody Evenson, Katrina Nelken, Sarah Bockett, Jesus Bibian, Patrik Spacek, Herman Kim, simulation artists Sam Gierasimczuk, Klaus Seitschek, photographer Paul Doughty, and stylist Randy Wilder.
Leviathan’s project toolset included Sony HDW-F900 CineAlta and Canon 5D Mark II camera systems for live-action production. Adobe Creative Suite for 2D design, Autodesk Maya for 3D design and animation, RealFlow and Maya for simulations, Mental Ray and V-Ray for rendering, Apple Final Cut Pro for editing, Adobe After Effects for finishing.
