MASP, Museu de Arte de Sao Paulo, celebrated its 64th anniversary in October 2011 with a two-phase advertising campaign. The first phase involved conversations between characters found in the museum’s paintings, prepared in small strips like comic-books. In the second phase a series of posters on the museum walls introduced cakes and birthday candles to characters found in paintings.
The 64 Years campaign was developed at DDB Brasil by chief creative officer Sergio Valente, executive creative director Marco Versolato, creative directors Guilherme Jahara and Wilson Mateos, art director Carlos Nunes, copywriter Guigo Oliva, illustrator/art buyer Clariana Costa, illustrator Anelito Nóbrega, art buyer Alessandra Salles, account supervisors Polika Teixeira, Daniel Malavazzi Mariotto, Stephanie Pinto, media planners Mônica de Carvalho, Valdir Vieira and Marcelo Estevam, working with MASP marketing director Alberto E. Whitaker. Typography and retouching was done at 24/7.
