Marks & Spencer Christmas – Wish Upon a Star

Marks & Spencer, the British department store chain, is running Wish Upon a Star, its 2011 Christmas themed television advertising campaign featuring the X Factor finalists singing the Christmas song ‘When You Wish Upon A Star’. The 1940 song, “When You Wish Upon a Star”, from the Disney cartoon movie Pinnochio, was sung by nine finalists Craig Colton, Janet Devlin, Marcus Colins, Franky Cocozza, Little Mix, The Risk, Johnny Robinson, Kitty Brucknell and Misha Bryan. Unfortunately, after shooting the film, Cocozza’s involvement in a drug scandal led to his removal from the video. (Editor’s note – four versions were produced as the X Factor finalists were reduced to three).
