Sega is promoting “Mario and Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games”, a set of games for Wii and Nintendo 3DS, with a television commercials with two endings set in the UK. The advertising campaign announces the new games and celebrates a wide range of Olympic events that fans can enjoy with Mario, Sonic and many other colorful characters from both franchises. The spot places the two characters in a royal dining room, paying homage to the host country, while playfully positioning the new game as a must-have title for family fun this holiday season. The humorous touch is designed to appeal to the younger generation of fans, while bringing in a few special treats especially for the die-hard Mario & Sonic fans from decades past.

The Mario and Sonic campaign was developed at Duncan/Channon by executive creative director Parker Channon, creative director Anne Elisco-Lemme, executive producer Christine Gomez, producer Karena Dacker, copywriter Tif Slama, art director Michele Jaret, account director Artem Peplov, account executive Christian Lee, working with Sega of America director of creative services Jen Groeling, senior brand manager Judy Gilbertson, director of marketing Marcella Churchill.
Filming was shot by director Brendan Gibbons via Station Film with managing partner Stephen Orent, executive producers Caroline Gibney and Michael Di Girolamo, producer Leanne Amos, production supervisor Tamika Miller.
Post production was done at Arcade Edit by editor Christian Jordan, smoke artist Chris Homel, editing producer Kirsten Thon-Webb, post production producer Lisa English, executive producers Deanne Mehling and Damian Stevens.
Needle drop music was produced at The Diner. Sound was mixed by Pete Rincon at POP Sound.
