Google has released a range of “Zeitgeist” lists for the year 2011, with an online collection at googlezeitgeist.com, and a 2.52 minute video clip celebrating the millions of search queries Google receives every day. “Zeitgeist” is a German word meaning “The spirit of the times”. The annual Zeitgeist report reveals what captured the world’s attention in the past year—our passions, interests and defining moments as seen through search.
