Google Chrome’s latest “The Web is what you make of it” spot features Jamal Edwards, a London teenager who used the web to turn his hobby into a media empire. The online video tracks the rise of Jamal Edwards and the emergence of SB.TV as one of the UK’s leading youth broadcasters. From filming his friends in car parks to interviewing some of the world’s biggest stars, we see how Jamal used the web to achieve his dreams. Edwards posted his first video of his friends rapping about four years ago. In a short time, his channel become the go-to destination for youth entertainment media.

The Jamal Edwards spot was developed at BBH London by creative director Ashidiq Ghazali, creative team Ed Cole and Lewis Mooney, strategy director Jason Gonsalves, strategist Ben Shaw, producer Matthew Towell, team manager Lucy Scott, team director Rowena Minhas.
Post production was done at The Mill by executive producer Luke Colson, VFX producer Carl Phillips, creative directors Carl Addy and PK, 2D lead artists Dom Burgess, Ashley Tyas, assist team Douglas Haynes, Scott Dawkins, motion graphics team Sam Southward, Shaun Leong-Williams, Bob Wolf, camera assistants Oliver Briginshaw, Hugo Vaughan-Hughes.
