Renault, partner of the Federation of French Rugby (FFR) since 2008, ran a print ad supporting the XV de France as they took on the English in the Rugby World Cup quarter finals recently. A trampled bouquet of red roses, a not too subtle reference to the emblem of the English rugby team, is accompanied by Renault’s words of encouragement. “Pour nous faire plaisir, Les Bleus peuvent nous offrir un beau bouquet. Renault encourage Le XV de France.”
The Roses ad was developed at Publicis Conseil, Paris by executive creative director Olivier Altmann, creative director Hervé Riffault, art director Julien Vergne, copywriter Alexandre Girod, sales manager Stéphane Gaillard, head of advertising Benjamin Merllié, account director Florent Moignard, process manager Adeline Blanc, working with Renault publicity director Isabelle Fossecave, Contact Manager (products and rugby) Olivier Bourquin.
