Eatliz Lose This Child
Israeli art rock group Eatliz has launched their award-winning music video, “Lose This Child” online, featuring animation by the Grammy nominated directors Yuval & Merav Nathan (“Her Morning Elegance“). This sensitively told story focuses on one newly hatched sea turtle, during his trek back to the ocean to find his mother. We see not only the beauty of his new world, but also the terrifying reality of his journey, through his innocent eyes. Sometimes a beach isn’t just a beach. And, as night falls, that is exactly the case in this beautifully shot and animated video from Yuval and Merav Nathan. As the sun goes down over the ocean, the sand comes to life and takes on the forms of an entire mini eco-system of aquatic life. Sea turtles are born, eels emerge to pursue their prey and Mother Earth orchestrates it all.

The Lose This Child music video was commissioned by Joshua Perry, CEO at Anova Productions.
The majority of the video was painstakingly photographed frame by frame at a beach in the early morning hours over several nights, using the available sand and water and incorporating the natural effects of the waves and the wind.
Animation and filming was conceptualised, filmed, produced, edited and composited by Yuval and Merav Nathan via OneWingFly, with photography, 3D, pre-viz by Yuval Nathan, animation by Yuval Nathan, Guy Ben Shetrit, Moshe Zilbernagel, Talia Tzur, group and rigs by Rafi Nathan. The boy at the end is Adi Nathan. The script was developed by Nadav Ben Simon, Yuval Nathan, Merav Ben Simon (Nathan) and Guy Ben Shetrit.
Music was produced by Eatliz, and is featured on the album Teasing Nature. March 2011 Eatliz will be making a debut in the US and Canada in March 2011, performing at SXSW & Canadian Music Week festivals, with a full US tour following.
“Lose This Child” marks the second collaboration between Eatliz and the Nathans. The first was the video for “Attractive” which was named the “Best Video of the Decade” by Israel’s music television channel and had a regular spot in MTV Europe’s playlist.
